 Our Uttar Pradesh

The history of Uttar Pradesh is very old and interesting. Buddha had given his first aim at Sarnath in Uttar Pradesh. Its area is 240928 square kilometer and its population is 20 crores.

Its capital is Lucknow, which is called the city of Nawabs. Yogi ji is the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh and the Governor is Anandiben Patel. 



 During the British period it was called the United Provinces. In 1950 it was renamed as Uttar Pradesh. 


Two major rivers Ganga and Yamuna flow in this state. 

Twidely spoken dialect in this state is Hindi. 

It is divided into 18 mandals and 75 districts

This state shares its border with 9 territories.

Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh are in the north of the state. In the west is Haryana, Delhi and Rajasthan. Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh are situated in the south and Bihar and Jharkhand in the east.Apart from this, there is the country of Nepal in the northeast side of the state.



 Most of the milk production in India takes place here. Agriculture and service industry form the largest part of the state's economy.
